In 1978 Tissot created a quartz model, characterized by a thin case, narrow indices and a steel bracelet. His wide horizontal ansa, typical of the time, was perfectly integrated into the flat tonneau shape. A few years later, Tissot recorded the name Prx. "Pr" is for "precise" and "robust". The "X" stands for the Roman number ten and for the pressure of 10 bar that the clock is able to bear. In 2021 Tissot presented the PRX 40205, it is a modern version of the previous model. The 316L stainless steel case of the Tissot Prx 40205 has a diameter of 40 mm. It has a slightly tonneau shape and is adorned with a narrow and round bezel. On the sides, brushed vertically, rounded finishes alternate with shiny facets. The Tissot Prx 40205 Quartz is equipped with a dial with a black or blue radial motif in combination with nickelated indices and hands. There is also a variant with satin silver gray dial with pink gold indexes and hands, a combination of colors reminiscent of the late 70s. The flexibility and softness of the shirts make it a real success of ergonomic design and transmit extraordinary comfort. The hands of the PRX 40 205 are equipped with a Superluminova® coating and are positioned on each other with a minimum space. This allows you to bring the clock glass closer closer. The optical effect obtained by the Tissot designers makes the clock case seem even more flat and thin than it is actually.
